Constitution Preamble(Required) By checking the box and typing my name below I am indicating that I have read the White Mountain Christian Academy Constitution Preamble and do agree with and support that statement. I believe and adhere to the White Mountain Christian Academy Statement of Faith. I will support the education of my children at White Mountain Christian Academy by following its policies and rules, by providing a learning atmosphere at home, and by contributing time, when possible, for the operation of the school.
We believe that Christian parents are obligated to raise their children in the knowledge of the Lord and to nurture their obedience to Him. We see the Christian school as an extension of the Christian home to help fulfill this momentous educational responsibility in a distinctively Christian manner and context.
The White Mountain Christian Academy community is committed to the education of the whole child. We are utilizing the classical method of instruction known as the trivium of grammar, logic, and rhetoric. Within the classrooms we are applying the use of trustworthy resources that give the student a true knowledge of God, man, and of all creation in correspondence with the written Word of God. We are committed to excellence of instruction in all relevant areas of knowledge and to the integration of all knowledge within the framework of the Christian faith. We welcome children from all ethnic, racial, social, and national backgrounds whose parents or legal guardians believe and adhere to Article I of this constitution.
ARTICLE I - STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as being verbally inspired and completely inerrant in the original writings and of supreme and final authority in faith and life (Psalm 119:89; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:17-18; Luke 24:27, 44; John 10:35; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21).
We believe in God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:26; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:6; Matthew 28:18-19: John 6:27; Acts 5:3-4; Hebrews 1:1-8; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:16, 20-25; Luke 7:48; John 11:35; Philippians 2:5-8; Titus 2:13).
We believe that man and woman were created in the image of God and their sexual identity is given by God according to their DNA at birth; that he sinned and hereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature (Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 2:16-17; Genesis 3:1-7, 22-24; Psalm 14:1-3; Psalm 51:5; Ephesians 2:1-3).
We believe that God ordained marriage as a life-long relationship between one man and one woman for the purpose of sexual intimacy, companionship, and procreation. Marriage is a picture of Christ’s sacrificial love for the church and the church’s joyful submission to Christ. (Gen 2:18-25; Matt 19:3-9; Eph 5)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as the representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood (Isaiah 52:11-53:12; John 1:29; John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 9:22).
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life for us as High Priest and Advocate (Isaiah 53:12; John 20:19-20; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 4:14; Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 2:1).
We believe in “that blessed hope,” the personal, bodily return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Acts 1:9-11).
We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ, are born of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God, a relationship in which they are eternally secure (John 1:12; John 10:28-30; Acts 16:31; Romans 8:28-39; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5).
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost (Isaiah 53:12; Luke 16:19-26) John 5:25-29; Revelation 14:10-11; Revelation 20:11-15).
We believe that the gifts of the Spirit are given to (1) glorify God and (2) edify the body of believers (1 Corinthians 12:1-11; 14:1-12), and that any gift used within the church must be in total agreement with God’s Word.
The mission of White Mountain Christian Academy is to impact the world for Jesus Christ by partnering with Christian families, faculty and churches to maximize each student’s God-given potential helping them become more like Christ.
This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible, as the inspired and infallible Word of God, speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of human affairs. For purposes of the organization’s faith, doctrine, practice, discipline, and policy, WMCA recognizes and understands that the duly elected Elders of White Mountain Bible Church (WMBC) are the organization’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
I understand that WMCA is an affiliated ministry of WMBC which is accountable to the duly elected Elders of WMBC and all doctrine and policies shall serve as the foundational and guiding principles for all of WMCA’s policies (i.e. hiring, training, and curriculum development) and practices (i.e. teaching and worship).
Having read the above Statement of Faith, I sincerely receive and adopt it as containing the system of doctrine taught in the Bible and agree that if at any time I find myself out of accord with this Statement of Faith, that I will, on my own initiative, make known to the WMCA Board Chairman the change that has taken place in my views since my last written affirmation of this Statement of Faith and, if requested, quietly and voluntarily remove myself from enrollment with WMCA.
I understand and affirm that this requirement is a material term and a condition precedent to my continued enrollment with WMCA. Covenant families that provide a pastoral reference will have the opportunity to vote for members of our school board in our November elections every two (2) years. Each household will get one (1) vote no matter how many students are attending WMCA.
